Cleaning Gutters in Cincinnati Area

It’s a fact of life that open gutters need frequent cleaning. Consider that just

one mature oak tree produces 200,000 leaves per year, and it’s ea sy to see why gutters may soon have plants growing out of them. Can you see small trees and bushes growing in your gutter? While some people may find this aesthetically pleasing we strongly suggest keeping the foliage in your landscaping where it belongs. Gutters that have enough debris in them to support a small echo-system have probably been clogged and non-functional for a long period of time. Clogged gutters and downspouts can and will lead to damage of your home’s exterior, landscaping, and in some instances can find its way inside your house. You will most likely not notice this damage until you have accumulated thousands of dollars in damages!

But, Its going to cost a small fortune at this point to have my gutters cleaned! Not necessarily. We recently completed this gutter cleaning in Cincinnati, Ohio (pics below). All gutters and downspouts on this mid-sized single family home were cleaned and cleared in less than an hour, costing this customer only $100. At that price you cant afford not to clean your gutters!

Many home owners have their gutters cleaned only once a year – that is far less than
what is usually needed on wooded properties. It only takes a clump of leaves 4 to 5 inches long – or just one single large leaf from a magnolia, a tulip tree, or a bear oak – to cover the mouth of a downspout, causing the gutter to overflow.

As trees grow over time, they obviously produce more leaves and needles. Therefore, the number of gutter cleanings per year need to increase to match the higher volume of leaves, needles, seeds, nuts, etc. that fall. This is especially true if tree limbs overhang the roof and gutters.
